More Online Reviews of “Inhabiting”

Professor Craig Blomberg of Denver Seminary has a generous review of Inhabiting the Cruciform God at the Denver Seminary site .  I’m grateful to Craig.

And here’s another, by a former student named Lyle Brecht, from a political angle. He told me a version of it will be published in Political Theology, too.

    That was a nice review!

    Yes, it was!

The Brecht read is exciting too! I am sure it is among the first in a much needed and forthcoming long line of political thinking and grappling with your work.

Is there a chance that Lyle is any relation to Mara? Mara Brecht’s “Epistemology and Religious Diversity” is an excellent paper from early 2008 that presents an interesting direction to consider regarding participation and political theology. Your and Lyle’s cues remind Christians of the form to hold and embody as we (inevitably) take part in her insightful model.

Thanks for this Mr. B and Mr. G!

I don’t think Mara is related to Lyle; his wife is an Episcopal priest, and that is not her name, but maybe another relative. I will try to ask him. In any event, I would like to see that article.
